Do you have a prophetic word, prophecy, or promise from the past, that you have shelved or forgotten?
I believe the Holy Spirit is “re-calling” some prophetic words given in the past.
They are not old; they have not expired; they are fresh for right now.
That prophetic word may have been partly fulfilled, but it is coming around again!
You may have thought that prophetic word or promise, was small or insignificant—and yet, that prophetic insight carries power for the present time.
A Prophetic Word at a Historic Building Site
“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11, NKJV)
On 19th July, Malcolm and I were climbing a hill at a local park, when I suggested a detour.
We made our way to where some objects from the original quarry site—one dated 1876—are kept.
As we walked there, I explained, “I’ve had a growing conviction that a word I published two years ago, is for right now!”
We took some photos to mark the moment.
And we reflected on the word, which the Lord had spoken to me at a similar historic site, 2 1/2 years before.
Master Builders and Architects
That prophetic word was, “The Building Materials Have Changed” and it was published in August 2018.
In it, I wrote: “A master builder builds according to plan that he or she has been given—blueprints that are already in existence.
An architect, however, has insight into new materials and trends.
An architect has a gift of vision to create blueprints and plans that have never been seen before on earth.”
God was speaking of new building materials and a new era!
It is a word that is relevant for many of us right now.
An Unexpected Confirmation
It was Sunday morning, so we returned home and tuned in to our online church service, where our senior pastor was preaching.
We listened with amazement, as Pastor Russell spoke from Hebrews 8:5 on, “Build a Life with a Heavenly Design”. [1]
“See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” (Heb 8:5, NKJV)
“God was giving [Moses] a blueprint…a download of revelation.
A mountain represents His Presence.
Build according to the pattern God gives you, don’t copy someone else…patterns and designs for how to build in the future.
God is a Master Builder…the Master Architect.” (Pastor Russell Evans)
Right Here, You will See the Expansion
We knew God had led us to encounter Him through a sign in our local environment, to bring attention to this word, with the unexpected confirmation afterward.
Perhaps this word, “The Building Materials Have Changed” is also for you today.
You recognize that some of the framework for your life, or ministry, has been changing.
It is no longer “business as usual”.
It may even be painful, adapting and making changes.
But God is saying, “Right here, you will see expansion; you will see a miracle!”
That Prophetic Word is a Password
Joseph dreamed when he was a youth, that one day he would rule, and that members of his own family would bow down to him (Gen 37).
It was a dream from God concerning his distant future.
But eventually, the day came, when that destiny dream became a “now” moment of fulfillment (Gen 42:6).
This is the work of the Holy Spirit: you can open a container that has been around a long time, and discover fresh bread!
So, today, ask the Lord, what promise or prophetic word do I have—that was stored in the past—that is fresh for today?
Perhaps, that Scripture, dream, or prophecy, is not merely a past word. It is a password—to unlock your new season.
Some Prophetic Words are Being Birthed Through Prayer
Daniel was meditating on a prophetic word brought by the prophet Jeremiah, some 70 years before.
He realized that “now” was the time for that word’s fulfillment, and he began to pray earnestly over it (Dan 9:1-3).
There are times to reflect on past prophecies and prophetic insights.
Ask, “Father, is there a prophetic word or promise from the past You are drawing my attention to?”
One may leap out at you, and you are stirred to birth that word in prayer.
You sense the Holy Spirit’s anointing as you meditate on that prophetic dream, promise, or word.
A Personal Reformation
A prophetic insight may be a recent word, but it is time to revisit it and ask your Father to unfold its meaning further.
“Words for the year” are prophetic insights we can review throughout the year.
They can bring encouragement and comfort.
They may be a word to pray or declare, or to wage warfare over!
For example, on 31 December 2019, I published this word for 2020, “Reformation: You are Being Shaped Again”. And I believe this excerpt is a comfort to someone today:
“I Have Something Fresh for You”
“On a personal level, you may have felt that you, or something important to you, has been in a time of crushing (Ps 42:7).
As you contemplate [2020], know that you are in your Father’s loving hands.
You may have experienced a shaking, but now comes the reshaping.
He is saying, “Beloved! Will you embrace my reformation?
Let Me reshape and re-form that gift, that experience, and that move of the Spirit that has already been in your life.
In your family line.
In your work. Your region.
In your ministry.”
God says, “I have something fresh for you.”

This word is right for me and I thank God for using you to minister it to me and remind me of the prophecy. God gave me a prophecy in year 2011 April. through His word and I prayed about and prayed and yet nothing has happened for the last ten years now and nothing has happened yet but it’s been a Journey that when I read your message am reminded that God Has been preparing me it to be fullfield and I can sense it in my spirit that the time has now come.
When you talked about Joseph and today I have been reading the book of Genesis chapter 38 all through to chapter 50 studying Joseph’s life and it’s amazing to know that God works in mysterious ways and am humbled.
He had that dream of the 12 stars ,the moon and sun bowing to Him just He was not mature enough to discern what was going to happen at the time and God used His brothers to send Him to Egypt to prepare for them and He was happy that they had done what they did because years later He helped the family the time they needed Him most.this is the God that I serve And I know that my prophecy is being fullfield as we speak in Jesus Name .
You are a blessing to me and every time God’s word through you is ablessing to me and it always comes and the right time. May God bless you and enlarge your territory. I don’t take your sharing for granted, I am truly blessed.
Happy anniversary to this and many more we thank God for bring with you in The His journey. May He be praised forever and ever.
Shalom
Hi Esther, thank you, and that’s amazing about studying Joseph. The story is such an encouragement too, that when the prophetic fulfilment is released, God can bring Divine Acceleration to bear, and make up for (what we perceive as) lost time, and bring about the overflow harvest!
Good morning.
At a time like this when I’m depressed over life challenges I’m comforted by spirit filled and inspirational scriptural messages on your blog. More importantly the story of Joseph gives me hope to go on with life in that in every situation one faces God has a say; and the promises of God always get fulfilled at God’s appointed time.
I thank you once more, may God continue to use You to continue to preach online and giving hope to many.
Amen
Each time I read your blogs, it is as though God Himself is speaking to me. I am always encouraged and uplifted. May God continue to use you to speak to His people…….
Thank you Carol
what a great insight and words of building capacity to let us know whatever has been spoken to me in prophecy will come to pass .i have understood that hope is not lost.
happy anniversary.
Happy 11th anniversary to you. May God richly bless you.
Thanks! :-)
Perhaps, that Scripture, dream or prophecy, is not merely a past word. It is a password—to unlock your new season.
Always timely word.
Thank you Helen Calder and Happy 11th Anniversary. I celebrate you and what you do for the body of Christ.
Amen! I love how we can look back and see how God prepares for us ahead of time, including those prophetic insights that lead to a “suddenly” of God!
Thank you Naomi <3
Congratulations Helen, on delivering another word in season. So many times it has come as a confirmation, this time it is even more profound. I have been in transition between churches and felt I was to return to a particular church, it has proved my timing is perfect. I did wonder as to the state they were in, people were glad and some relieved to have me home. The dream and vision had been paused.
Also I had thought I a builder, however the Pastor told me just this week I’m a visionary and to step out boldly, your word today has helps settle the architect within me. I’m refreshed and can boldly step into the areas Father has prepared me for. Be openly Blessed in all you do and say Helen.
I love that insight about the architects of the Kingdom :-)
Judy, I pray you settle in the peace God has for you, for the placement in your season
Praise Jesus Helen,
All the glory and honor goes back to the Lord for using you to minister unto his saints in a powerful way.
Happy 11th Anniversary for for the blog as it coincides with my birthday 30th July.
The holy spirit has taken me back to the year 2012 when he gave me a night vision of a huge house that costed 80,000,000 and there was a caretaker on my side along with a seller on the opposite side and the house kept on detoriating as we bargained the prices, when I gave him the last and final price of 5,000,000 the house was in a poor state and cement dust was coming out of the walls ready to be destroyed and all of a sudden I felt a strong conviction to speak a word but I knew that it wasn’t me speaking but the holy spirit saying “I WILL RESTORE AND RESTITUTE THIS HOUSE BACK TO IT’S OLD GLORY AND EVEN GREATER.” And from that moment the house turned into a beautiful house built with precious stones on the walls of three colors blue, white and gold. Last Saturday we had a family alter where my sister shared Isaiah 54 and told me to read Isaiah 54: 11-13 and Jesus took me back to that same night vision.
God bless you, keep you and make his face shine upon you Woman of God.
Happy birthday Tracy!
What a powerful encounter with the Lord, it reminds me of the passage in Haggai too (Haggai 2:7-9)
Such a rich picture of greatness to come
