Legacy and increase.
I believe the Holy Spirit is highlighting this verse as a prophetic theme for this moment:
“One generation shall praise Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts.”
(Psalm 145:4, NKJV)
A Prophetic Dream About a Turnaround
Last week, a dream I had years ago came to mind.
It was so compelling, I set aside another post I was about to publish.
In the dream, my husband and I were looking at a scale model of our former home in New Zealand.
The roof had multiple compartments.
And remarkably, I knew that the roof could be turned upside down!
In the dream, we turned the roof over, and it rested perfectly in place.
And an entirely different layout was revealed on the other side.
Our son was there with us, although I couldn’t see him.
He spoke, and I woke up. [1]
The Ceiling Becomes the Floor
As I reflected on the dream, it struck me that it is a prophetic picture.
One that points to a message God is drawing many into right now.
The new layout speaks of hope and God’s renewed plans.
Where we realize, “It is not over!”
It also reveals how the ceiling of one season becomes the floor of the next generation.
We often say, “May our ceiling be the floor the next generation builds on.”
But our children and emerging leaders will not simply inherit what has gone before.
This is a new era, with new blueprints.
A Prophetic Picture of Redemption
My dream wasn’t just about a building; it was highlighting a turning point.
A turnaround.
It’s a picture of redemption.
Of how God turns endings into new beginnings.
Sometimes, in pain or disappointment, we only see the ceiling.
But God says, “Let Me renew your perspective.
I want to show you what I’m building beneath the surface.”
If this resonates with you, be encouraged.
What you once called finished, God calls “My foundation.” [2]
He reveals the new layout, His Kingdom blueprints.
This is what He does, it’s how He builds.
God is Speaking “More”
God is speaking “more” into places that feel stuck.
He’s taking the very things we assumed were endings and turning them into new foundations.
“Don’t despise the day of small things”
(See Zechariah 4:10)
He is expanding your horizons:
Touching your eyes to see further, before any visible possibility exists.
Malcolm and I are realizing more than ever:
“We’re alive! And we will never be as young as we are right now.
Let’s give our young lives to God.”
Here are five insights I believe the Holy Spirit is highlighting:
Five Prophetic Truths About Legacy and Increase
1. God Is the Source of Your Increase
Throughout Scripture, this pattern repeats.
Whatever God blesses, He multiplies.
And His blessing brings increase.
- God blessed Adam and Eve: “Be fruitful and multiply.” (Genesis 1:28)
- He blessed Abram through the priest Melchizedek (Gen 14:19-20)
- Then God renamed Abram “Abraham,” meaning “father of many.” (Genesis 17:5)
Then at Pentecost, the Spirit’s move begins with an outpouring.
That becomes a mighty river.
It’s the same today.
“So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.”
(1 Corinthians, 3:7, NKJV)
2. You Are a Vessel of Legacy
Have you ever noticed in the Bible that when God starts a great work, He begins with “little” people?
And not many.
One, two, or a handful.
Young and old.
And from these come families, generations, entire nations.
Church planting movements.
And a great legacy starts from small steps of simple obedience.
“With God, there are no little people and no little places.” [3]
3. Heaven’s Multiplication Looks Different
Think of the boy who gave his lunch.
Or even the disciples (reluctantly!) yielding up their limited supply of food.
Jesus blessed the bread and the fish, and it fed thousands (Mark 6:41).
That’s the multiplication of Heaven.
It’s Kingdom mathematics!
Jesus told us:
“…The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed… the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants.” (Matthew 13:31–32, NLT)
God’s Kingdom often begins in hidden places, small and humble.
Yet stewarded in humility, it grows beyond what we can imagine.
4. God Has Chosen You for This
And this is a reminder:
You don’t have to be someone “important” in the eyes of others.
God has already chosen you.
“God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise… so no flesh may glory in His presence.” (1 Corinthians 1:27–29, NKJV)
Think of the least likely:
Jacob, Moses, Ruth, and even Paul.
Yet each carried God’s purpose into history.
This is your time.
5. Your Legacy is Already Underway
I believe this is a prophetic invitation for many right now.
Even when the means of fulfilling the vision seem lost, God is still working.
As Paul said,
“I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” (Philippians 1:6, NLT)
He is the God of resurrection and comebacks.
We hear Him say,
“Give Me your limitations. I will redeem them.
What we are carrying, the next generation will build upon.
We may not see the fullness yet, but Heaven has already drawn the plans.
“You will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.” (Isaiah 58:12, NLT)
Just as the roof in my dream turned and revealed a new design, God is unveiling the plans He’s already set in motion.
I hear Him saying,
“When the world says less, I say more.
Look again.
My work within you is greater than you know.
And through you, I’m building a legacy that will last.”

Three Anniversaries, One Legacy
Legacy is an appropriate topic for today, though I didn’t plan it that way!
February brings several anniversaries for us.
On February 2nd, it was fifteen years since we joined David McCracken Ministries.
We honor Prophet David McCracken and Margaret for their faith, example, and the legacy they’ve shared with us.
David still serves on our board and remains our spiritual father.
We count it a privilege to be credentialed with David McCracken Ministries.
February 5th marked our forty-third wedding anniversary.
Malcolm, I am grateful for you—my husband, my life and prayer partner, a family man, and someone who champions me.
Only eternity will show the gifts of God we’ve shared and the difference they’ve made.
February 9th marks twelve years since we found our church home at Planetshakers Church.
I reflect on this with joy. Thank you to Pastors Russell and Sam Evans for giving us a place to encounter God, and for the spiritual food I so often draw on and share here.
And my thanks to you.
Finally, I want to thank our board members, partners, and everyone in this blog community.
You make this a real and meaningful space. I thank God for you.
