“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you.” (James 1:5a, NLT)
As we enter this new year, God invites us to go on a journey of discovery with Him.
Yet, we find ourselves navigating challenges like never before. We need a prophetic word of wisdom.
“Prophetic” refers to a timely gift of insight, inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The Classroom of Wisdom is Open
A while back, I had a prophetic dream about Wisdom’s Classroom. [1]
In the dream, “Wisdom” had written a book and was preparing to lead a training session.
I saw the classroom, the book’s cover, empty seats, and teaching materials ready and waiting.
A New Era Calls for New Wisdom
I believe this invitation is for all of us:
The Holy Spirit is calling us into a space of pursuit and revelation.
- It’s an invitation to all who are hungry for wisdom
- To the seekers who long to encounter Him.
Perhaps, you feel as I do—that yesterday’s answers are no longer sufficient for today’s problems.
If so, be assured that God has new, timely wisdom and strength for you!
How to Receive God’s Wisdom for Your New Season
Here are six insights on how to receive prophetic wisdom, from the story of Daniel [2]
1. Receive Wisdom as a Gift from God
Daniel and his friends were trained in Babylon’s wisdom and literature, but their godly wisdom set them apart.
God gave Daniel gifts of wisdom, knowledge, and discernment, as well as visions and dreams
“As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.” (Daniel 1:17 NKJV)
God invites us to ask for wisdom whenever we need it! (James 1:5)
Paul includes it in the list of spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 12:8.
2. Go to the Bible
Daniel was not only a leader and prophet; he was also a writer.
And the wisdom he received is available to us today.
The Bible is God’s textbook for life, filled with His knowledge, history, and principles.
It’s the foundation for wisdom on every subject, including Proverbs, written by Solomon.
But the ultimate wisdom is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, contained within its pages (1 Cor 1:18-29)
3. Receive Wisdom in Prayer
“But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others…full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.” (James 3: 17, NKJV)
Daniel’s wisdom came from a higher kingdom! While Babylon relied on learning, divination, and sorcery, Daniel sought revelation from God (see Daniel 2:17-19).
We know the world fails to grasp the power of prayer or taking time to hear from God.
Yet, that is where our greatest wisdom resides.
4. Find Wisdom in Jesus
“Ask and you will receive.”
Like Daniel, we realize in our quest for wisdom that true wisdom is found in a Person.
In the New Testament, we see this wisdom fully revealed in Jesus:
“Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Col 2:3, NKJV).
“…Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God” (1 Cor 1:24b)
Our search, our prayer, begins and ends with Him.
5. Ask the Right Questions
Recently, I asked the Lord, “What should I do about this challenge?” Instantly, I sensed His response: “That’s not the right question.”
At that moment, something shifted—I felt a deep desire for His presence and wisdom.
Then I realized, that was the right focus. Seeking wisdom begins with worshiping Him, and the answers will follow.
“Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom!” (Prov 2:5-6, NLT)
6. Be Open to Learning
Daniel didn’t despise worldly knowledge—he excelled in it!
But he didn’t rely on his training or intellect.
Above all, he sought revelation from God.
And right now, God reminds us He wants us to be “novices in the new” in the wisdom of His Kingdom.
The Kingdom of God is both complex and yet simple. The mature must reach for it—yet a child can step into it.
The Benefits of Prophetic Wisdom
1. Longevity
Daniel’s leadership endured the rise and fall of kingdoms because of God’s wisdom.
“Happy is the man who finds wisdom… Length of days is in her right hand.” (Proverbs 3:13a, 16a, NKJV)
2. A Legacy
Daniel left a legacy in the Bible that influences us today—including prophecies that span history and speak of what is to come.
Prophetic wisdom is powerful—it not only helps you navigate the present.
It will also empower you to leave an inheritance for generations to come.
3. Confidence
“…with counsel and wisdom Daniel answered Arioch, the captain of the king’s guard…” (Daniel 2:14 NKJV)
Daniel’s wisdom wasn’t soft or uncertain [2]—this reminds us that God’s wisdom has strength.
We can also speak with wisdom from the place of authority.
4. Guidance as You Face the Unknown
Daniel took time to pray and wait on God (Dan 2:17-19).
Because of this, the revelation he received defused conflict and brought God’s answer into the situation.
Wisdom helps us navigate paths we’ve never walked before.
5 Access to God’s Abundant Resources
God’s wisdom is not characterized by limitation. Instead, God’s wisdom is expansive!
It gives us access to the abundance of God. (I Kings 4:29, NKJV)
“And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.” (1 Cor 2:12 NLT)
Wisdom’s Classroom is Open
The Holy Spirit is saying, “Class is open!”
Like Daniel, we are being invited to participate with God’s wisdom.
Are you ready to step in and learn about God’s wisdom for your new season?
He promises to supply your needs.

Hello, Andrzej
Happy New Year to you.
May you thrive in this year and beyond, being a novice in the new of all God has for you. And expand in creativity and advancement. I pray the doorway He has for you is clear and open.
Unfortunately, our English platform couldn’t read your (Polish?) characters, but I was able to make out a few words.
Such a wonderful prophetic message Helen! I’m just going through some challenges in my office right now, and God had revealed to me the secrets of my conspirators ahead of time. And God is giving victory in His most divine way. Praise God! Hallelujah!
Thanks so much ma. God bless you in Jesus name

Sometimes there just aren’t any words to say. I’m going through the roughest time of my life, so far. I’ll not share it here, but please say a prayer for me and my family. We need wisdom and we need more of Jesus. Thank you for any prayers that go up for us!!!
