I believe the Lord is speaking to those who have felt “close to the edge” in some way.
You have been stretched, and may be wondering if you are reaching the limits of your capacity.
Your Father wants you to know that you are safe in His hands.
“Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him…” (Matt 14:31)
The Jar on the Table
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” (2 Cor 4:7, NIV)
This week while praying, a picture of a large jar came to mind.
It was sitting near the end of a table—at the side, on the very edge.
And I saw the hand of the Lord come in and move that jar back, to the very middle of the table.
If you can relate to this simple image of being “close to the edge”, the Lord wants you to know that He has got you!
You are safe in His hands.
God is restoring your stability. And as you yield to Him, your heart will be centered in Him again.
- You will be able to continue serving where you are called to.
The Day Jesus Rescued Peter
It reminds me of a time Peter found himself in a precarious situation.
He stepped out of his boat on a word from Jesus!
But then—even though he was in the middle of obeying the Lord—his attention strayed to the storm around him.
He was surrounded by instability.
There was wind, there were waves, and there was nothing for Peter to stand on.
He began to sink.
“And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.” (Matthew 14:31-32, NKJV)
Stability Returned!
Just as Peter began to fall, Jesus reached out His hand towards him.
So today, if you feel vulnerable…If your world has been rocked or there is instability all around, see Jesus’ hand reaching out to you.
In His hand is God’s help; His strength.
That hand is His presence with you.
In Jesus’ hand is safety and security.
At the moment Peter took Jesus’ hand, stability returned!
He was restored to a position of faith and able to return to the boat with Jesus.
You will be Positioned Securely
When Jesus and Peter climbed into the boat, the storm stopped miraculously.
Amazed, Peter and his friends worshipped Jesus. [1]
Today, even though there may be instability all around you, see the Lord holding out His hand to you.
“He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD.” (Psalms 40:2-3, NKJV)
You may have felt in danger at times—or even that you are near a breaking point. But as you take Jesus’ hand now by faith, know this:
He is lifting you, and you are being positioned securely.
Worship—and with it, the joy you may have thought lost—is rising from within you.
And many around you are being touched by the supernatural move of God on your life.

Wow, too many times I have had that feeling of having been pushed to the edge, surviving by a thread, even feeling like I am close to giving up. So many times I survived by God’s grace, where my strength and wisdom was outdone but survived. Even this period God has been faithful whenever I felt close to falling down the waterfalls He softly reminds me that He is still here just as He promised in Matthew 28:20 that He is with us always. Thank you for sharing this message, Helen, I am encouraged to continue listening to that still voice, that keeps on saying, “I am with you, always”. May God bless you and continue to use you for His own glory, Shalom, prophetess.
I don’t feel like praying ,reading the scriptures, fasting ,what could be happening to me? what can i do ?
Perfect timing on this, was just asking the Lord “how much more can I take” and have felt Him steady me since then. Your post came the day after :) Praise God, His timing is perfect!
Thank you Helen for this powerful word. I am that jar on the edge of the table. On Feb.9, I was pushed to the very edge. I feel that I need to talk to someone about this because it was surely a precarious situation. I don’t know where to go from here.
Prophetess Helen, I don’t have the words to thank you for this prophetic message! Quite frankly I believe the Lord showed you that vision of the jar with me in mind, among other people. The whole message is just my situation and I can’t imagine how I bumped on this email. Only God surely wanted me to read through it. Following long periods of wilderness experiences, this gone week was my worst week to the extent I didn’t even go to church yesterday, even though I’m a pastor’s wife and a pastor myself. I just decided to stay at home…a lot been going on that I felt I just couldn’t carryon any longer like this. I felt I completely lost my joy, although I’m a singer and songwriter, I couldn’t find one song that could renew my joy. Reading this article is refreshing, I feel the Lord has not forgotten me. Thank you so much sister Helen, more grace to you! Kindly tell the Lord to please help restore my prophetic gift, it seems I lost it along the way, and I’m truly sorry for everything!
Hello Prophet. I have been receiving this emails and I get so much uplifted in my soul. It’s only that sometimes I feel so low and directionless…I have been in financial constraints for some time now and my family has despised and even chased away from home. I need God’s intervention. Am so low Prophet.
