Have you been praying for supply and provision recently? Do you find yourself in a faith-stretching time, wondering how you will be able to do everything God has called you to do?
When God has given you a promise or calling, He is already seeing the overview. He views the beginning and the end. He sees:
- The birth of your promise
- Your contention for that promise, and
- The fulfillment of your promise
Your Father—Who loves you and has called you—exists in the eternal ‘NOW’. And He has already established your means of supply.
Every means of fulfilling your prophetic promise already exists in the eternal realm, in the form of a ‘Heavenly order’—declared ahead of time by God.
As the writer to the Hebrews says,
‘Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed) and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].’ (Heb 11:1, AMP)
As Elijah did, you can Experience Heavenly Supply
We see this principle of the pre-existence of God’s supply in the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 17.
‘Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah: “Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.” (1 Kings 17:2-4, NIV)
That Hebrew word translated directed (Strongs H6680, tsavah ) means to command, charge, give orders to, to appoint, and commission. [1]
A Heavenly order was already in place for the supply Elijah needed. All Elijah needed to do, was to move in obedience to God’s instruction, in order for that provision to manifest.
So, if you are praying about resources you need, to do what God has called you to do, remember this faith-building Biblical principle:
Every provision you need, to complete what God has called you to do, pre-exists in the eternal realm!
Speak words of command in agreement with God’s word to you
You will experience faith-stretching times throughout your life and ministry, but know your God is faithful. He is your good and loving Father.
When one source of supply is drying up, you can be assured that another has already been appointed for you to step into.
‘Sometime later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. Then the word of the Lord came to him: “Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.” (1 Kings 17:7-8, NIV)
Again, the Hebrew word is tsavah, to commission, order, and direct. [1] Elijah simply needed to obey God; to move and reposition in accordance with God’s Word.
This time, however, Elijah would also be God’s instrument to bring the prophetic command to that widow. She had no idea of that Heavenly command that was already in place until the prophet issued it in person.
Is there Contention for Your Supply Line?
We see that God already provided a supply line, ahead of time, for Elijah by His Word.
In warfare today, a key strategy of an enemy is to damage the opposing force, by cutting off a supply line. A supply line is a route along which goods and equipment are transported to an army during a war. [2]
It is the same in spiritual warfare.
Through our obedient acts of faith, our prayer, and words of agreement, we partner with God to access the supply He has for us. This is why the enemy is going to try and undermine our faith. He is attempting to cut off our supply line.
As Elijah did, staying focused on God and His Word, and staying true to our assignment will help us stay on track.
Break Open Your Heavenly Supply
If you find yourself in a faith-stretching time, wondering how you will be able to do everything God has called you to do, remember your Heavenly supply.
The enemy has been seeking to restrict your supply line, but it’s your time to strike back. Break out with a song, a dance, and a shout of prophetic praise.
By giving thanks ahead of time, you are acknowledging that God is the source of what He has promised and that you are receiving it from Him by faith. This is prophetic thanksgiving.
You step into the eternal realm, take God at His Word, and praise Him for His greatness and His answer. Your Father is coming through for you.

I’ve been so blessed by Mummy Helen’s articles.
May the Lord keep blessing and upholding His Servant. Amen.
Greetings from Ghana Sis Helen. Just 3 days ago on 29th Tuesday, I had a dream where I saw a huge load in a red cloth or collapsed balloon fall onto a park in my area. I told a colleague I was with to look at the event. When I woke up I concluded that God had given us His GOODIES for the divine work.
I informed my prayer group yesterday about this. I asked everyone yesterday, to be in an attitude of expectation for a breakthrough.
I had been absent for some time from reading your writings but just about 10 minutes ago I felt an urge to visit you and see what might be there. Lo and behold I saw this article written exactly 1 week before I was given the dream. Sister I wish you tons of blessings and I know I will surely see you one day in Australia, given a dream I had about being in “THE LAND OF LIZARDS”. God be with you always.
Wonderful, Abraham! God bless you, there in Ghana
