‘No More Postponement!’
Have you been waiting on a change of season, in relation to the call of God? Perhaps you have anticipated a future time in which the power of the Holy Spirit will operate through you, to bring healing, signs and miracles.
I believe the Lord is saying, ‘It’s time to revisit that call, and that word. There are many who are waiting for a change of season that has already taken place!’
It’s time to stop waiting and start moving. It’s time to act on the revelation you have been given.’
Vision of an Upside-Down Chair
A few months ago, I was attending a daytime pastors’ session at Planetshakers Conference here in Melbourne, Australia.
As we began to worship, I closed my eyes and in the Spirit, suddenly saw a single chair! It was upside down, glowing, and suspended in the air, within arm’s reach.
I knew the chair represented spiritual authority.
The fluorescent glow that surrounded it indicated that the chair was supernatural. It was alight with the power of God. As I was looking at this unusual chair I asked, ‘Father what do you want me to do? Shall I turn it over and sit on it?’
I felt Him say emphatically, ‘No, wait, I want to show you more.’
I continued to worship, with the question still in my mind: ‘Why is this chair—a chair that is clearly meant to be sat in, not only empty, but also upside down?’
Suddenly, I saw a vision of a long banquet table, in a room that looked like a restaurant or wedding reception area.
Chairs were placed, upside down, on top of the table. And I realized, ‘This is how staff place chairs in a cafe or restaurant when they are finished serving for the day! The restaurant is closed and they have removed the chairs in order to clean the floors!’
‘My Kingdom is Open all Hours!’
That’s when I sensed the Father saying:
‘My people are saying that it is ‘out of hours’ for my greater works.
There are gifts, empowerment and miracles that you’ve had on your heart, that have not yet come to pass; gifts of healing you have been waiting for.
There are signs and wonders that operated for a time and you knew they were a sign of things to come. And so you drifted into a someday, sometime, mind-set. Perhaps others told you that the hour to activate your spiritual authority had not yet come.
But I want you to know that My Kingdom is open for business. It is open all hours. It is open right now. And many of you have been waiting for a change of season. But the change of season you are waiting on, has already taken place!
It is time to act on the revelation you have been given.
‘Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the Kingdom’ (Luke 12:32, NIV)
An Urgent Message from the Heart of the Father
As I meditated further on the vision, I knew He was showing me a banquet hall, and banqueting table for a reason.
Jesus spoke a parable about the wedding banquet in Luke 14, concerning God’s offer of salvation. One of the themes of the parable is the urgency of the Gospel invitation:
- ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.’ (Luke 14:21b, NIV)
- ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.’ (Luke 14:23, NIV)
Why was the Holy Spirit showing me a banquet table? The banquet table represented urgency of the hour. Souls are at stake. It is time for the Kingdom to be manifested with power.
A Guided Wrong Turn
That evening, my husband Malcolm and I were returning to our accommodation after Planetshakers Conference. It was pouring with rain, we didn’t have an umbrella, and we took a wrong turn.
Our misdirection happened to take us past a café, that was closed for the night. As we walked past, I noticed something in the window. Chairs, placed upside down on a table.
Prayer
Lord, I ask that you reveal to me any area in which I’ve been waiting, but it is now your due season to act on Your Word. I say, ‘no more postponement’! Father, I repent of believing that the day of Your power has not yet come. I recognize where I’ve drifted into a perspective of waiting.
I break off all disappointments, I lay aside all unfulfilled longings and I step out of the waiting room at Your Word.
Your Kingdom is open now! Your Name is powerful now! Your healing and power is being released now!
I choose to step into the authority you have given to me. I choose to say, ‘Yes!’ to You. May Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in my life. May many be drawn to salvation and may the River of Your Presence flow and touch the lives of many others around me, in Jesus’ Name, amen.

These kinds of words always perk me up but they also give me great disappointment. I’ve been waiting, and waiting, (and waiting) for almost two decades to be able to walk in authority and for the desires of my heart to be manifested. I’ve heard that it’s not time (Ecc. 3:1-8) from some and from others that I have access NOW to these things. It really makes me ill on some level to hear people close to me as well as pastors and prophetic messengers to be saying so many different messages. Someone was telling me in 2012 that I didn’t have to keep waiting, to live a life of waiting, and that I had access now to what I’ve been hoping for/authority. This made me so angry but I calmly told this person that if I could have access to the answers and authority I would have had it MANY years ago because I’ve been asking for both for years.
So in light of Ecc. 3:1-8 and what is being said in the above article what is the answer? I’ve heard the “authority is yours” and “the time is NOW!” phrases in so many prophetic messages for many years. I’m tired of it and sad.

Hi Staci, I’m sorry to hear of your discouragement, and I do understand that there can be long seasons of waiting for God’s promises to manifest. Today I pray for you to experience a fresh touch of the Spirit and His life and encouragement.
I don’t believe there is a contradiction between authority and adversity. This year for my husband and myself has been one in which we have faced great challenges and trials. We’ve seen many breakthroughs but also still waiting in some areas. Yes there are seasons in our lives (Eccl) but that doesn’t change the fact that God’s Kingdom is present with us now. I also believe it’s important to weigh up general prophetic words that are to the church body, and personal prophecies as well, against Scripture rather than against our experiences. Personally, I’d rather be taking God’s Word (Scripture and prophetic) and seeking my experiences to align to that, rather than the other way around.
I pray that you will know the Comforter’s arms around you and the courage to step again into the authority God has for you. <3

Blessing upon you. Thanks for that encouraging word. You are so right Gods kingdom is always open. And I have been patiently waiting to fulfill his calling in my life. I do feel in the spirit that God is calling those of us to step out now and fulfill his will. I know that there are so many people who are looking for him but there has been no one sent to accomplish his will and the peoples needs. But I have been pressed on every side being obedient and waiting to do what I know that the Lord has called me to do. And that’s to bring healing to those with affirmities. I will ask the lord to speak to me and demand that I step out in faith and bring about changes in the lives of those who seek you for whatever reason.

This is really a specific message for me. Since I have moved with my family to Uganga it was like a discomfort zone but from now on I can’t wait. I have a ministry that is reaching muslims for Christ but it was like I came here for holidays. Since the beginning of this July I’m praying God for His directions but today the vision is already there. And I need you to be my prayer Supporter.
