How your prophetic word is fulfilledHas it ever felt as though you have been waiting a long time for prophetic words, dreams and promises from God to be fulfilled?

I can identify with that!
My husband Malcolm and I have records of personal prophecies going back 30 years. We have promises from God that we’ve been holding on to for more than 40 years!

And while we have seen the extraordinary fulfillment of many prophetic words, there are still some that have not taken place.

  • At times, it has felt like the opposite of what was prophesied has been happening
  • There have also been times, when opportunities we thought were the beginning of a prophecy coming to pass, were lost

And yet right now, in spite of what seems to be a long delay, it feels as though we are on the brink of a powerful move of God.

Perhaps it seems for you, too, that it has taken a long time for some prophetic words to be realized. Yet, like us, something in your heart sings, “Now, Lord!”

Today, I pray that your heart is lifted in anticipation. Not for a change—though a change will come. Not for a breakthrough—though one be imminent. But the anticipation of a visitation from God.
A touch from Heaven.

The Key to Your Prophetic Word Being Fulfilled

The Holy Spirit Overshadows You

“You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!”? (Luke 1:31-33, NLT)

I love the story of how Mary of Nazareth receives a prophetic word through the angel Gabriel, that she is to conceive and give birth to the Messiah, Jesus.

In order for that promise to be fulfilled, the Presence of the Holy Spirit first comes upon Mary.
The power of God overshadows her. (Luke 1:35)

As you enter 2020—a new year and a new decade—you may sense this is God’s due season for prophecies to be fulfilled.

This is the insight that I believe comes from the heart of God for you: “Seek My Presence as well as My Promise.”

He is calling you into the place of encounter with Him, where you will receive a fresh anointing. [1]

Your Father Speaks Over You

“And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”

When you encounter God’s Presence, you receive His love and affirmation. (Luke 1:28, NKJV)

Today, hear the Father speaking over you. “Beloved, you are blessed! You are highly favored!”

Breathe. And believe.
You are every bit as prized, loved and valued as God says you are.

Mary’s response to the angel Gabriel gives us an example to reflect upon, as we listen to God for our own Heavenly instructions.

Her answer to God was one of humble and willing acceptance:
“Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38, NKJV)

These 2 Things Can’t Hold You Back!

1. Having Questions

Mary responded to the angel, “How can this be?” (Luke 1:34) and received an explanation.

Asking God questions is not necessarily a sign of doubt. Doubt and unbelief are usually seen in negative statements of “fact” or “forecast” (e.g. John 11:16).

  • Asking questions is a sign of relationship

Your Father loves to answer you. In your conversation with Him, you gain clarity, as He shares more of His heart with you.

2. Weakness

Paul wrote,
“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Cor 12:9, NKJV)

The “overshadowing of the Holy Spirit” is available to each one of us, through God’s grace in Christ.

A battle with weakness does not stop us from receiving God’s power (unless we are hiding it, or trying to compensate for it).

  • Our admission of weakness, is a key to being empowered

If you have held back because of personal struggles, know that the Lord is calling you into the light, and back to the place of intimacy with Him!

Don’t allow a lie that says you are unworthy, to hold you back.
Hear your Father say, “Seek My Presence and you will see My Promise.”

Your Anointing is in the Secret Place

“And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you…”
(Luke 1:34-35, NKJV)

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Many times, we are seeking the answer of our prophetic word, when God wants us to seek the anointing for that prophetic word.

It’s time to delight in His Presence.
And when God’s timing and His anointing intersect, you will see Divine acceleration take place.

  • You will rejoice as your prophetic word comes to pass.

And yes, it may be in a different way, at a different time, to what you expected. But your Father has not forgotten and He is faithful.
God is coming through for you.

  1. Hi Helen, I have had a blessed time reading some of your posts this year. These words have inspired in many ways especially this post on the prophetic word.
I have been believing God for some promises to be fulfilled especially concerning marriage. God spoke and showed me my life partner just around August this year. I didn’t know how to handle and communicate to her so I messed everything up. I feel like the opposite of that promise and other promises are happening right now.
I am trusting God to give me the anointing for the promises to be fulfilled.
I have also seen the operation of many gifts in my life this year especially the prophetic.
I felt the call of God to go into full time ministry this year, please pray for me.
God bless you so much and a merry Christmas.

    1. Hi Eugene, thank you. I’m praying for you right now, that you will have the wisdom and grace to move forward in every area of your life.
Have a blessed Christmas, secure in your Father’s reassurance and favor.

  2. I praise God for this word of encouragement and support this morning! I have grown so weary for the fulfillment of dreams and prophecies in my life. I tried to remember and journal them all. Many occurred over 25 years ago but I know they were from God, I have not given up on them but have been very disappointed at times, thank you for sharing this word today. Have a blessed Christmas!

I am so happy that I have received the prophetic Words of God through you, I am very happy as well as little bit fearful too that what will happen to me or to my family? my only hope is Jesus Christ, but thanks a lot for these words.
I hope everything will be fine for me and my family in coming days I and we need more grace of Jesus Christ, Please remember me and my family in your prayers.
God bless you, your family and your ministry in the mighty name of Jesus, I know He is using you amazingly and I pray He will use you more and abundantly.
Glory to the Lord Jesus The Father and the Holy Spirit
