Prophetic Word: God Says, ‘I Am Giving You New Strength!’

Today, hear the Lion of Judah, roaring over His people.
He is awakening courage.
He is stirring up expectation.
He is coming to you with a new word.

Hear your Father say, ‘Beloved, I am giving you new strength!’

“It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect.” (Ps 18:32, NKJV)

Your New Strength is Different

Your new strength is not like your old strength.

Don’t expect the familiarity of past strength.
Don’t wait for your ‘old strength’ to return.
Your new strength is different.
For you have entered a new era.

Your new strength is victorious

  • That enemy that pushed you, and—for a time—may have dented your heart.
  • The intimidation, shame, or illness that tried to take you out.
  • That evil that sought to rob your family.

Whatever your enemy has been, know this:
Your enemy is on the run, because God has armed you with new strength.

“For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.”
(Ps 18:39, NKJV)

Your new strength is found in reliance

Maybe you are in a position where past supports—people or structures—have come and gone.

Now, you are more conscious than ever of your reliance upon God.
You are counting on Him.

Your newfound strength is a position: you are leaning upon God.

‘Who is this coming up from the wilderness leaning on her beloved?’ (SOS 8:5a, NIV)

Your new strength looks forward

Don’t look for the past to return. Look for what lies ahead to come into view.

Hear the sound of a new song.
It is Heaven singing over you.
You may be emerging out of a time of mourning.
Know that you are not lesser for that season—you are stronger for it.

‘You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy’ (Ps 30:11 NIV)

‘Go in the Strength You Have’

Confronting the man in his place of hiding, the angel of the Lord told Gideon, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” (Judges 6:14)

At this, Gideon answered the Lord by reminding Him of his position and family history.

“Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” (Judges 6:15)

When God is prophesying your destiny, don’t rehearse your history.

Your history has no weight or bearing on the fulfilment of God’s word in your life.

  • What matters is that God is sending you, He will be with you, and He will deliver you.

‘The Lord answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.”’ (Judges 6:16)

Perhaps you can relate to Gideon today. You don’t feel adequate for the task ahead of you. But be encouraged:

Your weakness does not disqualify you.
God’s Word qualifies you.
And He says, ‘Go in the strength you have’.

Experience Did Not Prepare Her

It was an earlier generation. Deborah was a prophet, a judge and leader of Israel (Judges 4).

She held court under ‘the palm of Deborah’.

Day after day, Deborah sat, listened to complaints, gave wise judgments and delivered the word of the Lord.

  • Her location never changed
  • Her life was predictable

But then one day, God gave Deborah a word of command to give to Barak. It was time to take up arms and defeat Israel’s oppressor.

Barak said to her, “If you go with me, I will go; but if you don’t go with me, I won’t go.” (Judges 4:8)

And so, Deborah was tipped out of her courtroom and onto a battlefield.

Experience did not ready Deborah for this.
Deborah’s personal history did not prepare her for this.

But the word of the Lord gave her faith for what lay ahead.

“The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.” (Prov 28:1, NKJV)

Perhaps, you face a battle today.
That struggle is just a pathway—known and allowed by God—that leads to your triumph.
And your victory is appointed and declared by God ahead of time.

This is Your Tipping Point

Deborah and Gideon faced similar circumstances:

  • Both received a word from God that it was time for Israel to confront their oppressors
  • Both were called upon to leave their familiar surroundings, and head to the battle lines

Yet these two were different.
Deborah was a woman of faith.
Gideon had only known fear.
Deborah was familiar with God’s Word.
Gideon was new to God’s commands.

You may relate mostly to Deborah or to Gideon, or (most likely) to both.
Take heart from these snapshots of their stories today.
For the same God who called Deborah, and Gideon, is calling you.

Perhaps, as He did with Gideon and Deborah, God is tipping you out.

In one sense, everything has prepared you for this.
But in another sense, nothing has prepared you for this.

You are stepping into your God-zone. This is where Jesus gets the glory.

‘Go in the strength you have.’
This is your new strength.
A strength reliant wholly upon God.

I can only be grateful to the living God for remembering me. For the past few months I have really felt left out( probably because of my sin of disobedience). And I have been pleading for mercy and just three days ago specifically asked God to at least restore me with yesterday’s strength. I need help.
I really need help. Thank you Mama for this message.

Hi grace is great, Prince. Take new strength and keep running the race He’s marked out for you (Heb 12)

    2. Sakietheia Griffin

This word has truely blessed me. I have been going through a difficult time for a couple of years. I have been saying to myself this is not like me, I remember how in the past I would over come situations and the strength I had in the past. I have been praying to God ans asking why I cant go through these test as I have in the past. Well as I prayed Friday morning on the 29th of March. I checked my email after prayer because it was a beep. I see from your blog “Your New Strength is Different
Your new strength is not like your old strength.

Don’t expect the familiarity of past strength.
Don’t wait for your ‘old strength’ to return.

This Word was so on time and confirmation to what God has been speaking to me! I feel fresh new strength being released to go forward in the assignment he has called me to. Just coming out of a season on anxiety where I felt I had no strength at all but he has renewed my strength. Not by might nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord! Thanks for sharing this prophetic Word!

I so needed this word today as a reminder of my role and not jump ahead of God. The last 12 months I have been engaged, married, emotionally and physically abused by my pastor husband, filed for divorce, strangled on Thanksgiving, divorced the day after Christmas, major car accident 2 weeks later, and lost my job 2 weeks ago. It has literally been nonstop! During this time, I have leaned on the Lord like never before. I will say this, the prophetic gifts and operating in the governmental office of prophet has increased 100-fold. God is my everything!

      1. Edith

I keep going through this message over and over, and each time i go through there’s this feeling of strength and encouragement flowing inside of me. This word is indeed a blessing to me, it came at the right time, it has revived and strengthen my wounded spirit. Thanks a lot ma.

I have had a feeling for a while that I
am on the edge of something ,new. Then,
recently,my husband became very ill and
    is in hospital,having had a stroke.Nothing
in my life past or present has prepared me for this.During a prayertime,God said
‘You have not been this way before’,followed by Isaiah 54 v 10.
I asked the Lord if there was anything he wanted to say to me and a song
came into my mind’we rest on thee, our
shield and our defender’.I can only cope
with this new situation by trusting in the Lord for everything,I have no strength of my own,to cope with this, only through
the Lord’s strength can I walk this new way that I have not been before. It is a new kind of strength,a strength that is complete dependency on God.It feels like
a safe place to be.When I feel overwhelmed I set my eyes on Jesus again and declare my dependence on him. So,when I read your latest prophetic words Helen,I knew they were for me,
I feel like God has pushed me out of my
comfort zone,.The enemy tempts me to despair but I ignore him and keep my eyes on my mighty Father, and Jesus my
Bridegroom’our God is an awesome God,
    He reigns in heaven above,
    With wisdom,power and love,
Our God is an awesome God.‘

  4. Joyce A Reese

Yes for the past few months I had been feeling stuck, not working, but for the last few days the Holy Spirit says each and every day I’m giving u strength from on high, and now I have to get up and make myself busy. About two weeks ago I preached a sermon titled PUT ON STRENGTH!!!! AND TELLING THE PEOPLE EVERYTHING BRCOMING NEW IN THIS SEASON!!!GLORY TO GOD!!!COMFIRMATION!!! LET THE LORD CONTINUE TO USE YOU FOR HIS GLORYYYY!!!!??

  5. Bea

This prophetic Word truly blessed me and it was right on point, scriptures and everything. It gave me hope once more because I have been asking Him for strength in this spiritual situation I am in.

  6. Nicola

  7. Catherine Saint Fleur

Oh my Lord! I am speechless. This is such an on time word. For the past year, the Lord has placed me in isolation and during the whole time i have managed to remain concecrated unto Him . It has not been an easy transition, as the Lord had separated me from many people and places even fro the congregation that I used to go to. In the meantime, He was causing people to locate me. I felt that God was up to something new and I could not tell exactly what it was. This afternoon, a song came into my spirit, forst I found myself rhyming the melody, but couldn’t remember the lyrics. Finally, one and half hour later the Holy Spirit brought the words to my mind. The title wss ” Oh Lord, take my life, you alone I want to serve in holiness I will serve you
keep evil away from me.” I spent the whole day in His presence and all I was being led to do is to surrender and ask Him to send me as long as as His presence will be with me I will go. Thank you for such an on time word and may Abba continue to bless your ministry in Yeshua’s name. Amen

  8. Jadien

Thanks Helen for these powerful words from God. You was speaking directly into my life. I been asking for new strength since January 1st of this year 2019. God gave me the scriptures in Isaiah 43:18-21 on New Year Day. I been hearing NEW from the beginning of this year 2019. This is the word I needed new strength. I am waiting for a great move from God . I declare and decree it. The date God gave me is 4-3-19, Isaiah 43:19, I am getting so excited with expectation. Keep me in pray as I pray for you and your family. God keep blessing you to share His Great Word.

Thank you so much and may the Lord Continue Using U to touch many souls

Just two nights ago, I dreamt a senior soldier handed me and other soldiers whom I could recognise their faces, a new machine gun. I immediately tested the gun in the air to see if it worked and it did work. It was like we; the soldiers were getting ready for a mission. When I woke, I knew God just handed me a stronger spiritual weapon, strength and power. Helen, your prophecy just confirmed my dream! More grace and anointing to you in Jesus name, amen!

  14. Erlita Mkhwane

I know this is just for me. God always knows our struggle. The Lord had show me an open door to pray for the homeless and formed a prayer group. Few weeks ago, God touched the very homeless young man to surrender his life to him. A week later he came and shared with me his faith testimony not only that, but also he said, God has put in his heart a burden to stand up and speak for the homeless people and that he can do it in the ways the Lod has put in his heart. Very amazing to me, what he told me was similar to what i had in my heart for the longest. Unfortunately, this man was talk out in just short time.
Yes, i believe God is still God of Gideon.
Thank you for this prophetic message. I receive it.
    Please pray for me
    Thank you very much!

  16. Valmai Stasinowsky

I totally agree with Catherine. That is exactly what has happened to me. Taking me aside, isolated. It is a time of resting and listening. It has been a hard slog because of all that has come against me. I only said to a friend yesterday, “I am in a trough, but I will come out stronger when God shows me where I am going.”
I just can’t seem to get any clear direction. So, thank you, I will look at this from a different perspective. Boy, do I ever need His help

  17. Kathy Wilson

    Dear Helen,
Once again Holy Spirit has spoken through you accurately and timely providing direction
confirmation. For such a time as this. May God Richly Bless you.

Thank you, my Pastors. I have been trying to get my company accredited for years. All the time I have been relying on my strength, but mostly on the strength if those around me. Now that I have found a new strength in Christ, suddenly things are looking up.
Finally, by the grace of God, three days from now I will be accredited in the name if Jesus.

  26. Prudence Myeni

    Hi Helen
Thank for the message. It give me strength day by day and I realize that I am moving forward little by little. The fear that say “what if I am wrong” is fading away , I learnt so many things that build me up. Thank you
    God keep you.

  27. Arthur Finch

Helen: I have to ask, do you preach according to a schedule? Is there a schedule that the Christian leaders follow?
Naturally around Christmas and Easter, stories and teachings abound about Christ but what about the rest of the year is there some sort of a universal schedule you follow within a few degrees?
Sorry for my boldness and I mean no insults. Maybe I have just woken up but your blog messages have been in sync with several other blogs that I follow, which are in sync with the Bible passages I am reading and also just happen to be totally in sync with my life and where I am at the moment.
I’m so new at this. So new that I began to refer to myself as, “The Two Year Old Christian” Now, a 4 year old Christian. I believe I have bottomed out or have come very close to it and I feel in my heart I’m heading into a new season, I believe God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit have all spoken to me over the past 6-8 months. Everything is changing so fast in my life I sometimes think I cannot keep up. My struggles are incredible, I follow Jesus one day and the next I realize I have gone against him and then I come back and then I go out. I’m eager to be used by God and I have been used by Him. I started to document all of my steps, my thoughts, my pondering, successes and failures. I believe that I was told to share these records and I started a Web Site. Circumstances have changed in my life again and again and now I feel I have to get out and speak with people let them know about Christ and explain The Great Commission. I want to be used, I want more, I want it now but it’s not happening. I am so impatient and I realize this is my biggest fault at the moment. I don’t know how to go forward. How can I maintain my blog and spend what ever time is necessary out with people needing to hear about our savior? I’m nearly broke and I live under my sister’s roof, she won’t tolerate this very long nor should she. I need a job, I’m old (58 nearer to 59) and jobs don’t jump off the shelf for me. I’m scared half to death but at the same time there is an unusual peace I have. All I am concerned with is that I can somehow continue to work for God.
I suppose you can tell I am pretty confused. Today’s discovery; shining through everything that is going on at supersonic speed in my life, is the fact that 3 Christian blogs, the Bible and my life are all amazingly lined up perfectly. I really don’t know what to do with it all nor how to proceed and not loose any of it. I have lost out on many blessings by not jumping on the opportunities presented to me. Art

    1. Helen Calder Post author

      Hi Arthur,
Oh that is great about the words all lining up. Be encouraged that God, your Heavenly Father who loves you and knows everything about you is speaking to you.
And no, I don’t follow a schedule (unless it does happen to be Christmas or Easter and that’s prompted something). I’m often very last minute asking, ‘Father, what are You saying?’ which was the case with this one 🙂

  28. Tracy

Thank you so much for delivering this word. I cried as I read through your post because I just received a prophetIc word yesterday over my life concerning direction and healing from my past and stepping out. This word has blessed me so much and again, I say thank you.
