Prophetic Word: A New Theme Song is Being Released Over Your Life!

A ‘theme song’ is a signature song—one uniquely associated with a person, group or production. For example, the lyrics of a show or TV program’s theme song may tell the story of the main characters. A sports team may have its own theme song. Even nations have their own anthem.

Our lives, have a ‘theme song’. It is a metaphor for the unique blend of the message, atmosphere, and prevailing emotion that characterizes us.

Today I believe God is saying, “New theme songs are being released. And with this new sound, atmospheres are shifting. Destinies are being broken open!

A New Song is Piercing the Darkness

There was a moment when Miriam picked up a tambourine and led a song. It was a song never heard before in Israel—a new sound, a song of victory:
“Sing to the Lord,
For He has triumphed gloriously!
The horse and its rider
He has thrown into the sea!”
(Exodus 15:21, NKJV)

As Moses and Miriam taught new songs of victory won to Israel, the old songs and melodies of sorrow from slavery, from generations past, became extinct.

Today, there is a prophetic sound being released. It is piercing the darkness. It is a new song; a song of victory.

Outdated Theme Songs are Being Replaced

Are there themes that have been carried forward from past seasons—even recent journeys of your life—that carry a sense of sadness or frustration?

God is releasing a new theme song over your life:

  • It is the song of your identity intertwined with His
  • It is the song of grace; of His salvation and redemption
  • It is a song of victory; of new hope and anticipation of His goodness in your journey ahead

‘See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come’

(SOS 2:11-12a)

You are Singing from Higher Ground

Today, if you been waiting upon God in the midst of trial; if you have felt stuck and unsure of your standing, the song of Miriam and Israel can be your song.

The victory that is not possible to you in your own strength, has already been won by Christ.

‘He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.’

(Psalm 40:1-3, NIV)

Your Father is lifting you in His arms and bringing you to higher ground. That ground, that Rock, is Jesus. As you respond to Him, the Spirit of God is releasing a new sound from within you. God’s transforming power at work in your life will spill over and touch many others.

The Song of Deliverance is Your New Song

The walls of the Lord surround and protect you. They stand between you and circumstances that have threatened to overwhelm you.  Listen—there is a sound; a song being sung over you by the Spirit of God and the angelic hosts. Hear a song of deliverance:

‘Your God has triumphed. That enemy is overcome. You are more than a conqueror in Christ.’

‘You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance.
(Psalm 32:7, NIV).

He says, ‘My love surrounds you. I am giving you songs in the night.’ (Psalm 42:8)

Your God is singing over you. (Zeph 3:14-17)

It’s Time to Dance

‘Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels and dancing.’(Exodus 15:20, NIV)

For Miriam and Israel, the threat of slavery was at an end. Their former slave driver, Pharaoh of Egypt, could no longer pursue them. With that realization, came a new theme song and a dance of celebration.

  • When Miriam was freed from slavery, she entered her destiny as a prophet and leader of women. Along with her, a generation of women was released into a new realm of praise and worship.

That enemy that has been pursuing you was destroyed at the cross. (Col 2:15) As recognition dawns, a new song is rising within you.

It’s time to dance.

  2. “Every Praise” by Hezekiah Walker. This post is so timely. I have been singing this song over and over and being reminded how in 2 Chronicles 20. The enemy was defeated and the atmosphere shifted from songs of praise. Thank you.

  3. I am now ready, to learn how to be a prayer – healer, a prophet, or both.. Love your spirit Please lift me up as I seek to do more and be more for Jesus. I refound a song from the 70s that I love. “Charity” by Kenn Gulliksen: Love sings when Jesus prevails, believes & endures all things. Love hopes & bears every wrong, and LOVE never fails. You are an inspiration. Beth Bender

  4. Thank You, Jesus! This resonates SO deeply within me and His purpose for me. Helen, the night before your post, Holy Spirit just reminded me of Miriam’s new song of victory after the powerful prophetic declaration of Moses in Exodus 14:13 “And Moses said unto the people, “Fear ye not. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will show to you today; for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” Glory to God! And He has given me Ha Chadash Ha Shirah – even Tehillah to the Most High, The Holy One. In the meantime, singing “…the power of sin is broken, Jesus overcame it all! He has won our freedom, Jesus has won it all! Hallelujah! You have won the victory! Hallelujah, You have won it all for me. Death could not hold You down! You are the risen King; seated in majesty. You are the risen King!”
Abba, I will sing Your praise, dance with You and worship You FOREVER! You alone are worthy FOREVER! Amen!

  5. Thank you Prophetess. Was praying last week and heard a song in my spirit saying “it is is over..the dominion of Satan it is over..ther dominion of Satan it is over” this confirms it as I have never had such experience before. May God uphold u and keep growing us all in the prophetic. I’m an emerging prophetic person.

  6. Thanks for this Helen, your post really spoke into my spirit!! For the last two weeks I’ve had the song How Great is our God (from Psalm 104)…. in my head, singing it on my way into work. Speaking to me of the importance of worshipping him, but the line, “He wraps himself in light and darkness tries to hide and trembles at his voice….” was the standout line for me… He is light and all that is dark is vanquished in that glorious light – I needed reminding of this truth!
    The song is here:
PS: I starting following your blog after my husband and I met David and Margaret McCracken on a train travelling through Italy a few years ago 🙂

    • Hello Ann, that is wonderful! ‘How Great is Our God’ has been our theme worship song at David McCracken Ministries for years! 🙂

  7. This article is just a testament to the fact that our God is an all-knowing God. Who can connect someone in Africa to another in Australia?; revealing message that clearly shows the Holy Spirit (God) rules in the affairs of Men.

I have been on a spiritual exercise for some weeks now :waiting on God for direction on how to go about Call to Ministry He revealed to me via words of prophecy about a month ago.

It was that word of prophecy that infact triggered my decision to join your mailing list. I was searching for signs and traits that relates to what (Call) God revealed to me through a prophet in my City; when I came accross website.

I have been receiving messages from you since, however the message of today : “A new song from heaven is being released over my life ” is too much of a coincidence to me.

    God is truly working .

Since last Sunday I have been in singing mood and what sort of song have I been singing ? Victory songs!

Infact I led the congregation in my local Church to singing a victory song without knowing God was actually working out something.

I (as a Brother) was merely given the task of making general announcement, but in the process of announcing a forth coming event of our Church (the biggest Pentecostal church, in spread and branches in Africa and perhaps the world ) coming up in Lagos and the theme of the event is “Songs of Victory” , I found myself singing songs of vicory to
    buttressed the event.

Through out yesterday 14/11/17 ,I was led by the spirit to just be singing and dancing.
Today again after leading my family in prayer and everyone gone , I started playing songs and dancing.

Subsequently, I checked my email and found your article sent to me.
Reading through is just like God ‘s confirmation of what the Holy Spirit has been taking me through in the last 4 days .
I am extremely joyful and it further affirms the omnipotence nature of God. He is not limited by the distance .

    To share just a few of the songs I have been singing;

    1. This one is in my local dialect and the English translation is :
“we are more than conquerors ×2
Because we put our trust in God”

    2. “Your foes will one day bow before your throne and on that day , they will declare you as king,
It does not matter what they say or do now , as for me: I will praise the Lord.

May the name of God be magnified for ever in Jesus name. Amen

  8. Still singing…

    You are my Symphony
    Perfect in harmony
    You are my Melody forever
That’s why I sing, Lord, You are my song

No other song compares to You
No other phrase rings strong and true
Your spirit speaks peace to my soul
That’s why I sing, Lord, You are my song

    You’re the Tone of Power
    In the key of Honor
    Filled with Glory
    Lord, You are my song

    For Your endless mercy
    And Your loving kindness
    Pull my heart strings daily
    Lord, You are my song

  9. Meditating on and praying this powerful Word of the Lord through Helen and this sprung up in my spirit this morning… For some whose souls have wearied through many trials and afflictions, an encouraging Word and special Song of deliverance and restoration. Singing, praying and declaring this over us, in Jesus’ name! With Helen’s permission and agreement and under her authority, offering to share:
    The Word:
    Joel 2: 23-27
“Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in theLord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain,
And the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat,
And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,
    And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you;
And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel:
I am the Lord your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.”

    The Lyric:
    You will recover
    He will restore
    Be patient, a little longer
    He will restore
    For each and every tear
    He’s restoring the years
    You’ve suffered long enough
    Now be restored

Your loss won’t compare to your gain!
    Your destiny has been preordained!
Your days of hurting are no more
    Now be restored!

    He will perfect you
    Establish you
    Strengthen you
    Settle you

    He’s restoring, your family
    He’s restoring, your peace
    He’s restoring, your wealth
    He’s restoring, your health
    He’s restoring you!
    He’s restoring you!
    You’ve suffered long enough
    Now be restored!

    The Song:

  10. May God bless you and your family. I thank God for every message you have sent me. The things that God has allowed me to sense has been devastating. Hope in God is all I have, I refuse to let go. Even tho there is pain, sorrow, lonliness and rejection. God is faithful and i trust him with all my heart. There is a song that ministers to my spirit in these times. It is Tasha Cobbs….I belong to you. Listen to it… Its amazing. This song really really inspires me.

  11. I loooove this. I have been receiving messages all over, that God is going to do something new in my life. I can feel it in my spirit as well. Miriam was set free from slavery and was then able to step into her calling as a prophet. I have been going through a deliverance and inner healing process, and this sentence really spoke to me. It’s so close, whatever it is, thst new thing that God is about to pour out into my life. I also have been singing in tongues a lot lately, even in visions. The song has already burst forth and the living waters are gushing out with a mighty force. Thank you Jesus!! Amen and Amen!!

  12. Your post was very timely for me. I wrote a song a few years ago, and it has taken awhile for me to do anything with it, but just as we put the finishing touches on it, I received your word about new theme songs being released. This song is indeed my new theme song as it represents a new chapter in my life and as it reminds me of the goodness of the Lord. Verses that you mentioned in Zephaniah 3 and Song of Songs 2 and others were very relevant to me also. So I thank you for this encouraging word. My song is called Magnificent Rose, and it is about Jesus, the Rose of Sharon.
Please feel free to listen and/or share.

  13. Dear Sister in CHRIST Helen, Thank you so much for sharing the Prophetic Word, I Love it. I felt such a stirring in my spirit after reading the Prophetic Word the LORD has given you to share with us.
“YOU MAKE ME BRAVE” by Amanda Cook & Bethel Music is a Wonderfully Anointed, Powerful and Prophetic Song, I Love it. The Lyrics to the song are so inspiring.

The Prayer of my Heart is LORD JESUS YOU make me BRAVE, STRONG and VICTORIOUS.
I declare and decree I know the Precious WORD of GOD can make the Blind to See
I declare and decree the Precious BLOOD of CHRIST has the Power to Set the Nations Free
I Believe JESUS CHRIST is the RESURRECTION and the LIFE you See
I declare and decree JESUS Strengthens me, HE makes me BRAVE and I WALK in VICTORY

Another Song that I Absolutely Love is called “DANCE WITH ME” by Robert Stearns, this very Powerfully Anointed Song Moves my Heart in such a Special way, it takes me to Heavens Throne Room, were my Heart can Beat as ONE with the Heartbeat of GOD. I feel it is the Sacred Romance of the Bridal Heart of the Body of CHRIST calling out to her HEAVENLY BRIDEGROOM JESUS, and
JESUS calling out to HIS BRIDE “DANCE WITH ME”, enter in through the Veil into the Holy of Holies into the most Holy Place where I can See you Face to Face to feel the Warmth of your Heavenly Embrace. I Love You JESUS my GOD, my LORD and my KING, my Heavenly Bridegroom YOU make my Heart Sing.

  14. Hello Helen

Thank you for this timely and profound post. I read it a couple of times, as it really ministered to my spirit. Thank you also for the link to that beautiful and uplifting performance by Hezekiah Walker…. Every good gift comes from GOD, indeed. Every praise to HIM!

  15. Thank you so much for the prophetic word. I can say its a confirmation of what my pastor said about my life this week. For sure a new song i sing and i will testify as all my enemies have been defeated.
    God bless you.

  16. Good Day Helen! It has been a while. What a lovely post/sermon. Truly the Holy Spirit flows through you. Again, as always, your ministry is spot on, timely and eloquently written. Your words lifted me and gave me respite from my fierce struggle! I literally hang on whatever ribbon of hope I can find each and every day.
I’m learning about Robert Henderson’s “Courts of Heaven” and attempting to get out from under this serious curse I’ve uncovered. It appears that we have to petition the Heavenly courts for payment of our transgressions before we can enter the spiritual battlefield. I’ve been doing it backwards! According to Henderson, everyone has something to contend with since we are all descended from Adam and Eve. My father died unexpectedly, with foul play attached, and my mother and step-father survived hurricane Maria but with months and months of rebuilding ahead of them. I’m not in a position to fly down there and assist and they are older so that’s stressing me out in addition to the daily demonic attacks. Even if the enemy was destroyed on the cross, I have so much to contend with that seeking freedom from this spiritual harassment has become a full time job! Your presence is such a balm on an otherwise, serious plague! God Bless You and Happy Thanksgiving! May the good Lord shine brightly on you and yours and thanks so very much for being here. All love~Stacie

    • Hello Stacie,
I’m sorry to hear about all the trials – may this coming season be one in which you experience the fullness of the victory Jesus has already won! And Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

  17. This prophetic word of a new song release over my life is definitely fitting where God has me right now. After calling out to Him, in three weeks He has taken me to a new level from where I came. This new level involves sealing my relationship with Him from an inconsistent, rollercoast one, to an intense desire by the power of the Holy Spirit, to make our relationship a solid, day by day relationship. He IS releasing a new theme song over my life. I don’t know what all that is just yet, but He is moving in my life by the Holy Spirit to draw me closer in a way I cannot deny. This ministry in my life has included emotional healing over a situation from decades ago that has impacted my entire life. He is indeed releasing a song of identity intertwined with His; of grace, his salvation and redemption’ and of victory, new hope and anticipation of His goodness in my journey ahead!

  18. Hi Helen,
The song that’s been ringing in my ear for the past week have been. ‘My God is awesome he can move mountains’ and I’ve been examining in myself what awesome means for me. It’s way maker, opening of doors that I thought were closed. It’s his provisions for my emotional, financial and spiritual needs. For outlining that my worth, my identity, my security in all areas of my life is in him. That he’s dependable, unfailing, and means good for me regardless of the difficulty I sometimes face. Thank you for this message

  19. Thanks Helen for this word, I am greatly blessed.
For days on now, this song “I overcame by Ada” has been ministering to me, especially the line, Satan, you came too late.
Have been receiving words of prophecy lately that God is doing something awesome in and through me, and this song has been ministering me.

Also, this song “The anthem” by Travis Greene just resonated in my spirit while going through this comments section.
I am actually playing this right now while commenting here.

And I think it has all started, because the list of our graduating class for Mechanical Engineering University of Benin, just came , and God gave me First class honours.
    Glory to God.
    He has won the victory.

    Lyric to I Overcame.
    I Overcame
    He won the victory
    He said it is finished
    And oh oh oh oh
    My story is written
    And oh oh oh oh
    I Overcame
    I Overcame
    Hallelujah Jesus lives
And because he lives i live
    Hallelujah Jesus lives
And my future is alive in him
    I Overcame
    He won the victory
    He said it’s finished
    And oh oh oh oh
    My story’s written
    And oh oh oh oh
    I Overcame
    I Overcame
    Say to the mountain
    I Overcame
    Say to the problem
    You came too late
    Tell that sickness
    I already won
    Declaring boldly
    I’m born of God
    He said it’s finished
    And oh oh oh oh
    Story is written
    And oh oh oh oh
    I Overcame
    I Overcame
    Hallelujah He is alive
And because He lives i live
    Hallelujah He is alive
And because He lives i live
    Hallelujah Jesus lives
And because he lives i live
    He said it’s finished
    And oh oh oh oh
    My story is written
    And oh oh oh oh
    He said it is finished
    My story is written
    And oh oh oh oh
    I Overcame
    I Overcame
    I Overcame
    I Overcame
    It is finished

  20. God continue to bless you for being a blessing to me.. Each time i read your write up, I’m always lifted .thanks. I love Isaiah 25:1.
