“Beloved, My power is resting on you”.

It’s an unusual, but I believe significant prophetic word for us at this time:
The word means,
“The fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect.”

If you relate to facing some tough battles lately, be encouraged by this truth from God’s Word:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor 12:9a)

In the midst of the groan and the glory—
At the juxtaposition of darkness and light, of trial and joy, of weakness and strength—you are empowered and loved by God!

As you are, and where you are.

A Worker of Miracles Despaired of Life

It is a theme we see throughout Paul’s life and letters.

He towers in Scripture as an Apostle, worker of miracles, and servant of Christ.
He receives mighty revelations.
Yet, the Apostle Paul vividly describes low places in his journey:

  • “…we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life.” (2 Cor 1:8, NKJV)
  • “For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you, with many tears…” (2 Cor 4a).

Times of Turbulence

Like the waves of the sea, there will be times when life’s highs and lows roll together.

There is chaos and contradiction all around us.
Your own family, church, city, state or nation, may be experiencing turbulence.

Know that God’s glory shines brightest in this place—this juxtaposition—where your weakness, and His fullness, run together.

  • “You have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of you.” (see 2 Cor 4:7)

God’s Power Enfolds You

When he was being buffeted by a spiritual attack, Paul cried out three times, “Lord, take this away!”

God responded to him, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (see 2 Cor 12:7-10)

Today, be assured that in the midst of whatever battle you are facing, the grace of God is sufficient for you.

You will discover God’s grace is not passive, it is powerful!

As the Apostle declared:
“Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Cor 12:9)

  • “Rest” in the original Greek means to dwell as a tent over, to completely enfold in (Strong’s G1981)

Your weakness is the resting place for God’s power.

Think of this:
God’s power is not only within you, it’s surrounds you. It encompasses you.

It enfolds you.

You Become a Conduit for God’s Power

“that the power of Christ may rest on me”.
What is this tipping point Paul describes?

The glorying. The boasting.
The rejoicing.

Power is being released as you give voice to joy and assurance, “My God is mighty! And I am strong with His strength!”

For as Paul tells us, God doesn’t rest his power upon a people who “have it all together” humanly speaking, but upon those who are wholly dependent upon Christ.

There is a power that can only be experienced in the storm.
You may not have command of the situation right now, but God does.

In the midst of the buffeting, you discover what it means to be wholly reliant upon Jesus.

So, lift up your hands. Recognize that you are enfolded in His power—and rejoice.
And in your glorying, in your worship, comes the tipping point.

At the juxtaposition, your brokenness becomes a conduit for God’s grace and power.

The Power of God Rests on You

So, today, lift up your head.
Know that you are loved and strong.

Hear your Father say, “I love you. I am proud of you.”

Shame does not belong here.
Fear does not live here.
The power of God rests here.

“Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The LORD will be a light to me”. (Micah 7:8, NKJV)

  1. WOW!! What a VERY NOW WORD…
I’VE BEEN TRUSTING GOD TO SEND ME A RHEMA WORD A WORD FOR THIS PLACE WHERE I FIND MYSELF IN TODAY THE 18TH JAN2021, AND PRAISE GOD I CLICKED ON MY INBOX!!! IT ARRIVED!!! AFTER weeks of victory and miracles I’ve just experienced such an attack on my marriage and with my kids… I asked The Lord to strengthen me and just keep me in His peace …
Thank you so much for this Word Miss Helen… I can lift up my head and raise my hands in Victory!!!

  2. I must first say thank you as always for your timely words of encouragement. This word come to me this morning as a confirmation of what the Lord spoke to my spirit last week as a message and reminder that in all that I am going through God’s grace is indeed sufficient for me. Trials will come but God is always there with us. I was blessed by the section of that reminds me that in the midst of the buffet I must rest assured that God wants me to trust Him completely. Thank for this divine word.
    Blessings .

    1. Thank you Sandra,
sometimes the buffeting is like the storm the disciples had in the boat on the lake – that time Jesus was asleep in the boat – in spite of appearances (to the disciples) God still had it under control and Jesus’ peace was a signal to them.
I pray your peace is abundant

  3. This post spoke to me so much I can hardly contain myself. I had wrestled for years God’s call upon my life, there were many reasons, including a poor self image, early childhood trauma, and comparing myself to others in ministry just to name a few. When I finally got to the place to accept God’s call I went through so much at one point I wanted to give up. Your post today was a reminder of God’s power in and through me, is not of me but of God. Pray for me as I step out into a call to open a faith based facility for ex-offenders, this has been in the making for some 20+ years and it is time. Thank God for you I have learned so much through your post and courses. My prayers will cover you in this coming year. Much sisterly love to you and yours

    1. It is a wonderful statement, Florence, “God’s power in and through me, is not of me but of God” simple but powerful to the smashing down of strongholds. I pray His power and favor move you into the position for the dream to be fulfilled!

  4. God bless you. Thank you for the encouraging message. The spirit of the Lord has been present more in my prayers; praises; while reading the word of God and working. The transition God is allowing me to go through is hard. I feel a lot of pain in my joints and muscles but I do believe the Holyspirit is working. Please pray for me that God will help me continue to move forward in him. I had been stuck for years and now…..somethings breaking.

    1. Father thank You that you are touching Wanda now with healing, freedom from every condition affecting joints and muscles, pain to go in Jesus’ Name, your healing oil of Your Spirit to flow.
I pray for that release – yes! You are released <3

  5. Helen,
This is such a surprise that you have been given a message for the word Juxtaposition. On December 26th or 27th of last year 2020, I heard this word in my sleep. I knew that the word didn’t come from me and asked the Lord what it meant. I searched the definition on line and of course saw as you mentioned “the fact of two things being see or placed close together with contrasting effect”. I read the example, “ask not what your country can do for you but ask what you can do for your country”. So I began asking the Lord what I could do for him. Anyway, I was still unsure as to why GOD allowed me to hear it and so I am glad to have read your message on Juxtaposition. GOD certainly does hear when we call upon him. Amen!!

    1. oh that’s awesome Nicole I love the way Holy Spirit speaks and moves that way. There is certainly something significant for you in this journey and I pray you continue to gain clarity and the doors opening to move into the service that’s on your heart

  6. Wept with blessing as I read this, Helen. I live in the U.S.A and am believing God for a miracle of healing, change in my beloved country which has become so dark with horrible sins of the flesh: abortion, promiscuity, homosexuality, lawlessness, child trafficking, witchcraft, corruption. Many of us who believe our President Trump is our King Cyrus appointed by God are fighting with intercessory prayer and spreading truth to those spiritual eyes, ears, and hearts which are under the power of the enemy; we are entrenched in a powerful battle against centuries of evil. Satan is attacking us mightily with fear and weakness; Our faith, strength is being attacked relentlessly, but my Father God reassures, empowers, rejuvenates us; sometimes we need to be reminded of who we are and how much He loves us. God sends us Word from powerful Warriors like you, Helen. I ask in Jesus name that He will anoint and empower you even more; love you, Helen and am so grateful for you.

    1. Hi Donna, these are troubling times and I’m watching and praying for the USA ~ all the more personal not only because you’re all on my heart, but my Mum and StepDad are US citizens, so this touches our family. May hope be poured out into your heart and overflow
